It is 1.00 AM on a monday evening and I can’t sleep. In only five weeks from now we will be on a plane to Mexico! Even though we can’t wait, there is still so much to do. So many friends and family to say goodbye to, insurance things, last minute shoppings and both our business of course also have to go on as usual. These last days I find myself more and more lying awake thinking about our journey and everything that comes with a trip where you literally leave everything behind.

People often ask us if we have any idea what our journey will look like. At first we thought we had an idea of what was coming our way but the closer we get to actually leaving, the clearer it becomes that we actually have no clue. The only certainty we have is that we will land in a country and on a continent where almost nothing is like home (I hope the beds are at least a little bit my size though;)).

We decided that we can worry, plan ahead and try to figure everything out beforehand but when it comes down to it, it is pretty simple: adventure is what you make of it… And whether it is the travelling, the discovery or just the feeling of letting go.. The only way we will ever find out is to get out there, do it and… enjoy the ride! And that is as true for us as it is for anybody!
