After exactly one week of training in the lagoon of Coyuca, Steven swam 5 km in the bay of Acapulco as part of the Guadalupano swimming marathon! Together with Sergio Sarmiento (the first Mexican world champion Ironman), Jorge Alor and our good friend Christopher Garcia, Steven finished this race in water filled with jellyfish. Congrats to Sergio for winning, Steven finished in 1.41.05. A perfect time in preparation for our first triatlon in 2013.

As part of our lifestyle we are training for triathlon events while we travel. We look for places where we can run, swim and bike to prepare for several of these events in 2013. Our first scheduled sprint and Olympic distance triathlon of 2013 will be on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras.
